About the Role

The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) will work with internal teams seamlessly from NPI (new product introduction) to high-volume mass production. The CQE will act as a quality interface to prepare quality and other cross-functional teams in ZT – serving as the customer’s advocate internally in driving issue resolution and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Work with the internal technical organizations and teams (such as design, manufacturing, and product testing) to ensure high-quality products are achieved from the first product release
  • Successfully drive resolution of customer issues, including status updates, monthly/quarterly reporting, and identify where escalation is required for resolution
  • Must demonstrate excellent analytical and making data-driven decision
  • Must be capable of effectively interfacing at all levels of the organization including management internally
  • Proven ability to drive complex issues to closure in a timely manner and clearly communicate the result
  • Must exhibit self-motivation, demonstrate a sense of urgency, an ownership mentality, and be capable of successful multi-tasking in a fast-paced matrixed environment
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders and team members
  • Become an advocate for the customer through excellent knowledge of ZT manufacturing process, timely follow-through, and customer focus
  • Participate in internal cross-functional audits

What You Bring

  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related technical field) or 2+ years of experience in a similar function
  • Project Planning, coordination, and time management
  • Fundamental knowledge of statistics & data analytics
  • Quick learner - can pick up new tools for reporting and analysis
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Ability to work well under pressure and strong ability to “think on your feet”
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility
  • Possess relationship management abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Interest in technical topics and a continuous improvement/learning mindset
  • Computer Manufacturing or Electronic Manufacturing industry a plus
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required
  • Atlassian JIRA knowledge is a plus
