Solution Initiative at Open Compute Summit 2012

San Antonio, TX — May 2, 2012 — ZT Systems, a gold sponsor of the Open Compute Summit and leading provider of complete server and rack-level hardware solutions optimized for hyperscale data centers, today announced an initiative to develop vanity-free, cost-effective servers in conjunction with the Open Compute Project (OCP.) ZT will combine OCP designs with unique customization capabilities to deliver a new range of server solutions that are “precision-fit” to the technical and business requirements of individual large data centers.

Originally an initiative launched by Facebook, the Open Compute Project has evolved into a collaborative dialogue between large server customers and hardware providers to develop the most efficient computing infrastructure possible. Forthcoming ZT Systems solutions leveraging the latest open compute design concepts can improve server and storage cost effectiveness, ease of maintenance and energy efficiency for volume data center customers.

ZT solutions begin with close customer engagement to establish application requirements and data center constraints. Server platforms are designed using industry-standard parts, combined where necessary with custom elements and innovative engineering approaches.
